October 2019 - PK 2
This will be a very exciting month! We will learn that our planet is composed by more water than land. Part of this water is called ocean. The ocean is a huge portion of saline water in which many animals live. We find animal such as prawns who have 10 legs, crabs who have a hard protective shell, sea urchin who has spines, jelly fish that feels soft and gelatinous. In the Ocean we will also find big animals such as the whale which is big and heavy, the dolphins who like to jump, the stingray who enjoys being clean, the sea turtle who swims in warm waters, the octopus who has 8 tentacles, the starfish who lives in the deep ocean.
We will understand that it is important to keep our oceans clean and protected otherwise these wonderful animals can die! What an incredible underwater world!
In Art, we will learn a great technique: Composition. We will understand how to properly work in a format and different positions of an image.
Rhyme of the Month
Sand in my swimsuit,
Sand in my hair,
When I go to the beach
Sand gets everywhere!
I wonder, I wonder,
Oh, how can there be
Sand left at the beach
When there's so much on me?
Song of the Month
Un caballito de mar me lleva a galopar
por el viento, por las olas,
y por el fondo del mar (2)
un cangrejo viejo, viejo
y una langosta angosta
saludan con su cola a doña caracola
pez angel, pez gato, pez loro, pez sapo
de volteretas en una fiesta
pez martillo martillando,
pez cerrucho cerruchando
un pez cofre y un pez espada
abre y no encuentra nada.
